Design: Elvin Mackay Dubugras – 1984
Construction: 1984 – 1986
The 5000 m² site at the new Civic Centre of Praia is very close to the National Popular Assembly and other embassies.
The complex was designed to compose with the natural landscape, but without ostentation. The quality of the space is more important than a luxurious look.
The materials that were used are quite simple and standard – white painted walls and some ceramic on the walls and floors.
The centre of the residence is a 10×10m hall, with a total height of 10m and winter gardens.
All the main rooms of the complex have an ocean view and balconies.
Around 60% of all the cost with the construction of the Embassy were spent in Brazil.
